Cybersecurity Analyst

AI is both augmenting and pressuring cybersecurity analysts. AI-driven tools now triage alerts, correlate threats, and even automate initial incident responses, reducing the volume of routine work and raising the bar for junior roles. Analysts must now spend more time validating false positives generated by AI, interpreting risk contexts, and performing root-cause analysis that machines cannot yet do. At the same time, threat actors are using generative AI to craft more sophisticated phishing and deepfake attacks, forcing analysts to constantly update detection logic and stay ahead of adversarial AI. The net effect is a shift toward analysts who can integrate AI tools into their workflows while focusing on higher-level strategic defense and complex threat hunting.
