This shifts the BA role toward higher-value interpretation, validation of AI outputs, and strategic recommendation. However, the core of the role—stakeholder negotiation, understanding nuanced business context, and ensuring ethical alignment—remains deeply human and is becoming more prized. Canadian BAs who can work with, rather than be replaced by, AI tools will see their value increase significantly.
